Corinne Dorsey is a DC-based freelance writer and journalist currently studying journalism at Howard University.

She is a freelance writer for TheGrio and Vimeo and a contributing writer at Temple Indigo, Culture Hub, The Hilltop, and Her Campus.

Corinne has previously interned at CNN DC Bureau, TODAY Show at NBC News, The Dallas Morning News, Vantage Point Virtual Reality and currently interning at The Wall Street Journal under the WSJ Magazine

At Howard, Corinne is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the E.I.C for Revolutionaire, and President of Howard’s Her Campus Magazine. Corinne was previously a radio show host on WHBC’s “Hard to Swallow.”

Most of her work focuses on black womanhood, social issues, fashion, culture, and music.

Instead of looking at the past, I put myself ahead twenty years and try to look at what I need to do now in order to get there then.
